The Pantry Index · Week of 27th July
Real prices that move with the market, not our marketing calendar.
Every staple we sell is priced off a public commodity benchmark. When the market falls, your price falls. Here’s where it sits this week.

Updated every Monday · Internal pricing daily
Reviewed every Monday. One price for everyone, held for the week. No loyalty-card games.
Decreases always passed through. When the benchmark drops, so does your price — automatically.
Nothing hidden. Every price links to a public market you can look up yourself.
What’s in the box
One satchel. Four staples. Every price off its own benchmark.
The Starter Pantry is how most people buy from us — rice, flour, oats and olive oil arriving together, each one priced off its public commodity benchmark. It is not a volume discount and there is no inflated RRP sitting behind it. You pay the benchmark price for every staple in the box; what you save is three delivery charges, because it ships as one satchel instead of four.
The Starter Pantry
Rice 2kg · Flour 2kg · Oats 1.8kg · Olive Oil 3L. One satchel, one delivery. Fortnightly or monthly — skip, pause or cancel any time.
Or take any staple on its own
Each staple is sold individually at exactly the same benchmark price as it carries inside the box. Nothing is held back to make the bundle look better.
The policy
Read it in two minutes. Then compare it to any supermarket’s.
They don’t publish one. We do — and it’s the whole business.
- 01We review prices every Monday. Held for the week, the same for everyone.
- 02When the market falls, your price falls. Decreases are always passed through.
- 03No surge pricing. Ever. Demand doesn’t change what a kilo of rice should cost.
- 04No fake RRPs, no flash-sale theatre. A discount off an invented price isn’t a discount.
- 05Every price cites a public benchmark. Look it up yourself, any time.
Why we exist
Three supermarkets control roughly two-thirds of Australian grocery sales — enough to set prices with little real competition. Fairground Co exists to put the actual market back in view: a public benchmark behind every price, reviewed every week, with no fake discounts and no loyalty-card games.
