About
We publish what others hide.
A Melbourne pantry business built on one bet: that people are tired of guessing whether a price is fair.
Two supermarkets control roughly two-thirds of Australian grocery sales. The ACCC has repeatedly found pricing practices — including discounts against inflated “was” prices — that make it hard for shoppers to tell whether they’re actually getting a deal. When a handful of players set the terms, the market stops doing its job.
Fairground Co exists to put the actual market back in view. Every staple we sell is priced against a public commodity benchmark, reviewed every Monday, with the benchmark and the policy published for anyone to check. No fake RRPs, no flash-sale theatre, no loyalty-card games — one price for everyone, every week.
We started with coffee, proving the model line by line. The pantry — rice, flour, oats, olive oil, with coffee and sugar returning later this year — is the same idea at the scale that actually matters: the weekly shop.
The mechanism is the proof
We’d rather show you the Index and the Policy than ask you to trust a mission statement. Read the policy or check the benchmarks yourself.
